School of Computing & Informatics
In the School of Computing and Informatics (CMIX), we help our students develop skills in programming, communication, mathematics, algorithmic reasoning and the underlying principles of computing. Our goal is to equip students with the ability to adapt to and become important developers of these fast-paced and rapidly changing fields.
We offer six degree programs among three academic units: the Center for Advanced Computer Studies, computer science program, and informatics program. You can choose from a diverse set of courses every semester and have access to state-of-the-art facilities in James R. Oliver Hall, one of the newest academic buildings on UL Lafayette’s campus.
Our school has strong relationships with local and national technology companies that actively seek out our graduates for internships and careers. Learn how you can become a part of our school and start building your future today!
